Google Stadia VR?

  1. Vor kurzem ist ein US Patent eines WirelessVR HMD von Google aufgetaucht.

    Durch die doppelte W-Lan Einheit auf der Rückseite, plus einem WPAN Modul auf der Vorderseite, könnte man eine stabile und dazu kabellose Verbindung aufrechterhalten, Stichwort 5G.

    Wird das Stadia Projekt um einen VR Aspekt vielleicht erweitert, steht uns eine weitere VR-Plattform bevor, was denkt ihr? :notworthy:

  2. Massenmarktechnisch könnte das einerseits interesssnt werden.
    Würde durch Stadia ja Rechner und Konsole wegfallen.
    Andererseits müssten die Kosten von 5G erstmal reduziert werden.

    Wie viel soll die Flat bei Telekom kosten? 80€?

    Das und der Ausbau von 5G stehen dem Massenmarkt wieder dagegen.

    Könnte es mir gut vorstellen als autarkes Ersatzgerät. Das es High-End PC und High-End Brille so schnell ersetzen wird glaube ich weniger.

    Aber wer weiß. In 10 Jahren vielleicht durchaus interessant.
     
  3. Das war's nun gänzlich,.. auch wenn es nicht gerade überrascht.
    Das ganze läuft noch bis zum 18. Januar 2023 und dann war es das mit Stadia.
    Bereits getätigte ausgaben in Hardware wird zurückerstattet.

    Google is refunding all Stadia purchases — hardware, software, and DLC. Members of the Stadia team will be “carrying this work forward” in other departments at Google. Google is shutting down Stadia, its cloud gaming service. The service will remain live for players until January 18th, 2023. Google will be refunding all Stadia hardware purchased through the Google Store as well as all the games and add-on content purchased from the Stadia store.
